The classical accordion duo TOEAC has been awarded several prizes: Dutch Accordion-Competition, Prinses Christina-Concours (The Netherlands), Grand-Prix International (France) and others. The musicians played at several music festivals (Cheltenham Festival, Festival de Saintes, Festival van Vlaanderen, Grachtenfestival Amsterdam, etc.). TOEAC also played for several television and radio programs, national and international.
Pieternel and Renée, participants of the duo, are convinced that the accordion is an instrument from today and from the future, that is why they like to cooperate with other artists as writers, visual artists, live-electronic composers, documentarians, dancers and actors. They worked with orchestras such as Het Radio Filharmonisch Orkest, Orkest de Volharding, Het Schönberg ensemble, Het Nieuw Ensemble, Het Malando Orkest, Metropole Orkest and Het Rotterdams Kamerorkest.
TOEAC plays concerts in Indonesia, South-Africa, China, Canada, England, Denmark, Germany, France, Belgium, Czech Republic, Turkey and The Netherlands. The first CD ‘Nordic Music' was released in February 2012.
